mark 8 rear end?

Mark VIIIs have a aluminum housing for the rear end. Unfortunately I believe theyre all open and not trac-lok. I dont think they are a whole lot lighter, plus youre cutting weight on the wrong end anyway.

They have a aluminum center & aluminum lower a arms.
You will need to machine a disk for the springs to set in the a-arms
And put the bird parts back in for the lock up part.

and removing weight is good any time any place.

Here are a couple pics of the Mark 8 lower control arms and FRPP centersection in my 90 XR7.

I agree that losing weight is good, no matter which end it's coming off of. Less weight is less weight.

I have yet to make up the lower spring cups. It's not a priority right now, so it will be awhile before I make some up.

You read my mind. I'm actually thinking of making them slightly adjustable. When I finally get around to that part of the car, I'm sure I'll make more than one set, so I'll have a few for sale. But like I said, the engine/trans install is a higher priority right now.
