The Lone Star SHO Club is inviting the SupertCoupe Club of the Gulf Coast to our annual fall fun run October 18th. We will be caravaning from various parts of the state Oct. the 12th into San Antonio for the night then Sat. morning we will head up Highway 16 to Bandara, Texas for the start of our 274 mile fun run through the scenic routes of the hill country. When we are finished with the run we will head back to San Antonio to take in the river walk for fun and food.

We usually hotel in one hotel at a club discount for the 2 days then caravan back to our major destinations. This is just one of our annual fun runs we do throughout the state of Texas. We have our spring run out of Austin the 3rd weekend of April, and our winter run the 3rd weekend of Jan. around Possum Kingdom Lake out of Ranger, Texas.

We 2-way radio during the runs and the caravans for fun and incase someone has car trouble along the way. You have to be careful on these fun runs cause they are addicting.

a little drag racing

We will have two supercharged SHOs in attendance for this run. We have a nice very unused stretch of Hwy that we do a little drag racing on during the run. Any you SCs up for the challenge?

Sounds like fun... I'm in the NE area of San Antonio.. I could meet up around the Riverwalk or something, or I might be able to join the cruise. I'll have to see if I can get that day off from work too. How many SC's plan to show up on the 18th?

Superchargerd for the run

I'm working on Doug Frankin to come down with us from the DFW area. If you know anyone in the SA or Austin areas that is interested they are more than welcome to come along.

We will be staying at Hampton Inn on I-10 and Huebner Rd., we will be rolling in Friday evening. Just look for a row of SHOs, or you can email me an email addie so we exchange cell numbers so I can give ya a buzz when we roll into SA.

Jon Ashkenaze

The name Jon Ashkenaze isn't familiar to me. Was her a member of the DFW-SHO Club or the North Texas Club?

Jon Ashkenaze

I ran his name by some of the older club members and they said he moved to California a couple of years ago with his girlfriend and he hasn't kept in

touch.:(

Ok any and all SC drivers in the SA area if you want to take the run with us we are staying at Hampton Inn on I-10 and Huebner Rd. The hotel will be serving a Continental breakfast in the lobby so we should be in there eating some free chow. We will be pulling out about 10am to hit the run. If you decide to make the run make sure you have some gas money with ya. There will be 3 mechanics in our group so in case you have a problem along the way we can hopefully get you up and running again. Looks like we may have a 3 wankle turbo charged RX7 joining us for the run aswell.

:D

Andy made to the run with us and we all had a blast. Andy said let him know when the next run is.

Hey Andy SWeeeeeeetttttttttt ride ya got there.

And those guys showed up this morning from Houston with the Turbo charged Trans Am with the Grand National engine in it and Tony spanked it 3 times.

:D

Don & Andy, sorry I didn't make it to S.A.

Andy I know you wanted me there so you would not be the only SC. But I was not able to start the brake change on the one car I trust to make it untill Saturday. It was down to metal after Motorsport Ranch club day. Work has been on fire which is good since I will have a new boss and owners soon. I had a water leak underground in my Cresson house which I could not get to until Friday night it has been so busy.

I hear from Don that y'all had a good time. Arn't these SHO guys something? They DRIVE their cars. I like their club.

Anyway maybe I can get something going at a track soon. Avoids the tickets.

Also anyone who wants to run at MSR I can get you in for 2, 30 minute, sessions for I believe 20 bucks a session plus rent the fire suit and helmet. Or I have an extra helmet or bring your own and just rent the suit from MSR. Sure is fun.

I had a lot of fun on that run... i got my SC washed today, the front end is all speckled and the hood and windshield have little chips all over, so i stopped by a body shop down the street and the guy asked me "what the hell were you driving behind?" i told him "a Taurus SHO club...". Theres too many chips to be touched up, so it will have to be repainted but he said to wait until it gets worse.. and i dont plan on a paint job anytime soon.
The MSR sounds like fun.. i missed that event with the SHO club. I'll have to go do that sometime though.

LSSHOC - Thanks for inviting me.. i had a great time.

Sorry about the paint. Bummer with such a looker of a car. My 95 is a little speckeled but I don't worry. Will have to go with 97 hood and lights when I come across a deal. Saw pic of fast Ed N in Canada.

chips

Andy we have a guy from Mars in the SHO club if you can get it up to Dallas sometime he can fix the chips. I bet I can get the SHO members to all chip in on the cost. If you don't know what Mars is it's Miracle Appearance Reconditioning Specialist. I also have a soluition to ticket deal, if you have lost my email it's dlfatd1@yahoo.com shoot me an email and I'll send the info to ya. Thanks again for coming along on the run.

Also there's a guy up here in Garland that's with the TCCOA that's trying to put together a Texas chapter and is trying to get some things going on here in Texas. I'll email him and try to get him over here on this forum to recute some of you Texas T-bird SCs.

SHO moto "SHOs where made to drive, not to just look pretty in your driveway".

pegged

Well we had lots of fun in the Bandera hill country, we found a long stretch of hwy to peg our odometers. Andy in his SC T-bird said he pegged 145. The weather was great, wish some more of you T-birds could have made it out.
