Was up guys and girls. I have been driving around going to exhaust shops looking for someone that does mandrel bending, but have had no luck so far.. Does any one know a shop that does mandreal bends or better yet where did you guys get yours done ??? If i can't find a place my other option is to buy a "HOT ROD" kit that comes with pre-bend mandrel pipes w/ 45º, 90º, and 180º and weld it together and build it myself... hhhmm decisons decisions decisions..... :p

Yep, that sounds about right.

I doubt you'll find anyone. Not cost effective to buy for most shops. You can get bends from Summit though.

That's what I am doing.

Hey Aaron, what did u buy from summit ? are u welding it yourself ?? how far are u in your exhaust ??? I was looking at magnaflow and they offer the hot rod kit which come with pre-bent pipes, the hard part is that our exhaust aint that simple.. they got all kinds of weird curves, so that would make it a lil more complicated :( but i'd give it a shot...

I got a few bends from Summit and Hedmann H pipe set up. I don't weld but my brother does. I already have mandrel tail section so all I need to do is put middle together. I am going for dual 2 1/2 all the way back. I have a set of headers that I am going to put on so need to redo everything now. I am also replacing center with h pipe and cats with 3" instead of 2 1/2 for better flow. I am just going to cut bends and have bro weld and I'll put it up. Shouldn't be to bad, i hope.

HHmmm sounds like you got your hands full Aaron. did u order any specific kit for the pipes, or every madrel pipe independently at a time ??? Well sounds like you got everything under control... :) Let me know how it comes out..

A quick yahoo search came up with two immediate possibilities for mandrel equipped and willing places within 50 miles of L.A.

I just ordered four 180 degree bends and will be cutting them up to make them fit. I will be doing headers and putting a flange on them along with the cats so I can unbolt them if I want, even run open headers if I want. Not many muffler shops would do that for you so I just decided to do it myself. My work will be a lot better too.

I have them burnt on a CD somewhere but I just moved so I wouldn't have the slightest idea where right now. I'll try to find for you.
