Most of the postings I see about stock 93' SCs have 1/4 mile times around 15.5 - 15.7. I didn't run the car before adding the 5% overdrive pulley, but was surprised at how fast the car is with only this modification.
My best time was 15.363 at 86.5 mph. The top end speed was a little lower than some other runs where I shifted into 4th.
The exhaust is next, but it was nice to get a baseline and see what the more expensive changes will get for me.
Any comments about the time or speed?

The MPH seems a little low, but heat and humidity will explain that. I went 15.0@91 in stock trim minus the air silencer. What did your 60ft's look like?

Be careful... you are asking for blown headgaskets racing the car with an overdrive pulley and stock exhaust...

Yeah, that MPH is way goofy low? What were your 60' times?

The quickest of three passes I made was also the slowest at only 86.53. The motor started quivering at about 4600 rpm in 3rd gear. I have a couple theories about this.
The supercharger belt may have started to slip since I didn't replace the tensioner; but I haven't had any trouble before or since this run. Something with the redline limiter could be screwed up since the way it was cutting out seemed like a limiter. But the most plausible explaination is kind of embarassing. I didn't have very much fuel in the tank before the run (trying to reduce weight). The empty light had been on the entire drive to the track.
Anyway, my other two passes were slower, but I reached speeds of 87.5 & 88.85 mph.
For the fastest run, the times were as follows:
R/T 0.631, 60' 2.286, 1/8 9.890, 1/8 71.42, 1/4 15.363, 1/4 86.53
I do know about the risk I was taking with the head gasket. In fact this is why I'm running a rebuilt Jasper with about 2,000 miles on it. I wanted to run just this one time before changing the exhaust to see what difference it makes. Except for these three passes, I won't run the tach above 4,000 until the exhaust is done.
My task now is to get some estimates on some of the different exhaust options that I have read about in these pages and decide what to do.
I do have one question for anyone running similar times & speeds: Should I shift into 4th in the last couple seconds of the run or keep the motor running right at the redline and save the shift time?

my son's car has not been running to well lately, the last time at the track he was doing 15.3 at 90 , with 2.1 short times. your exhaust is holding you back. fix it or you will be sorry. 2.2 is not that bad with a stick. e.t. is torque m.p.h. is horsepower, more or less.
