cam sensor plug position...

Well, maybe this is a strange question, but I finally have my engine back in and when I go to plug the cam sensor in I rub the bolt holding the AC bracket on. I can get it on.....but I don't remember ever having it that close to the bolt.
I followed the Dr. Fred procedure....emailed a couple of people and it appeared that my 1st cyl was TDC when I lowered the Came sensor assembly in.

Can my housing be turned to clear the bolt to allow an easier hook-up? Or is something def. off?

Thanks

Yes you can turn the housing in order to clear the bracket. Just make sure you pull it all the way out in order to reposition the vane properly within the window of the body.
It should line up just like Dr. Fred says on the inside but, the body can be set anywhere there is proper sensor harness clearance.
Hope this helps...
