how can i verify that a used cam i bought is a .520 DR. Fred cam?

I need to be sure that my pushrods will work with the cam i bought.

I see it has numbers etched on it.

thanks,

Jeff

I would not lie to you bro

If you wanna verify that the cam you bought from me is a .520 cam then just measure the lobe lift from the base circle of the cam to the top of the lobe.

I just need to be sure my 7.200" pushrods will work. perhaps it wasn't designed for 1.73 rockers or something. and i need a different length. someone once said they used 7.250" pushrods i believe with a .520 cam.

unfortunately pushrod length is going to depend on other factors as well such as how much the block and heads have been decked, any machining done on the pedestals etc...you should install the cam then measure the rod length, it's the only way to be sure.
