More boost doesn't always mean more power. Too much will make the car slower at higher rpms. Your best to keep it under 15 pounds with a stock cam/heads. Anything more just generates more heat and requires more HP to spin the blower.
More boost will increase bottom end torque, making the car feel quicker from stoplight to stoplight, but the HP will suffer equally on the top end and really slow it down past 4000 rpms.
