SC/GTP Challange Race ...... SUNDAY ......

Tomorrow is the Day! The first ever SC / GTP Challange Race at Tri-States Raceway in Earlville Iowa.

It is not only open to Iowa Club members, ITS OPEN TO ANY SC and T-Bird owner that wants to attend.

The GTP club has invited any SC clubs from the surounding states and if we have a larger enough turnout we will have our own staging lanes at the track.

Several Iowa club members, as well as some from outside the club have shown interest and still others are not sure if thier cars will be back on the street by then.

But, if you want to pertisapate, or even if you just want to come and watch, contact me so I can put you on the contact list.

If you've never been involved in a match race before, you're going to love it! If you have any questions, drop me an email and I'll get back to you ASAP.


NOTE: NHRA rules apply, vehicle must have a catch can/overflow bottle on radiator (most cars do). Helmet snell 90 or newer on cars exceeding 13.99 secs. Must remove hubcaps. Safe appearing tires, no cracked windshields etc. State drivers license required.

And don't forget to envite EVERYONE you know with and SC. This sounds like it's going to be a multi-state deal with the GTP'ers.

See, that's my problem. I don't know which one is the fastest one!!! Although, if I don't fix my bucking problem at WOT with my Teal one, I'm pretty sure my blue one is faster right now.

Hey all you SCers. I am just reminding you all that this upcoming Sunday is our date at the track. There will be several members of the IACGP there and we are all looking forward to meeting some fellow IA car freeks. We are confirmed at the track for the 28th and they will be providing a trophy for the winner of the race. I am expecting 8-12 GTPs and would like to see a good turn out from your club. I know several of you have expressed interest and I would like to get a final number to give to the tri-states track officals. I would also like to have a final number so we can decicde how to go about setting up this event. We have agreed on a bracket style format and idealy I would like to see one GTP per one SC but if that dosen't work we will just run a bracket with as many cars as we get. Looking forward to a fun weekend.

ANYONE who is going .........

I was thinking we could meet at my place or at Steak & Shake on the south side of Westdale Mall (Edgewood Road just north of the Hiway 30 Exit) at 6:30 and head up in a group.
