Greetings All!

This is just an idea I have, and thought that it might be worth a shot.

How many people would be intrested in an Iowa SC Club chat room? I thought that this might be a good way to talk with other members, and possibly be a tool to recruit new members. Maybe a weekly chat on a certain night each week or something like that.

Mike - Let me know what you think of this idea, and whoever else might be intrested. We can see how many are intrested and go from there.

Personally I dont care to much for them (chat rooms). When everybody is typing at once its hard to keep track of everything that is being said. ALSO, Im note sure that the SCCoA site will handle it or let us have one here, so we would have to host it some where else.

I personally like this BBS. We really haven't been using it that much, and thats why they set it up for us, so we could use it to talk to each other. Besides, if we post it here, others can read it at there own pace and if the want to join, they can contact us here!

All we need to do is meet here at a curtain time on a given day of the week to do it. (You would just have to refresh you browser to see the new postings).

But what every everyone whats to do is OK by me! Why dont you look into what it would take to do it somewhere and let us know what you come up with!

I understand what you mean about too many people typing at the same time. I just thought that it would give us all a "virtual meeting" once in awhile. I just feel kinda guilty emailing and posting messages all of the time. I don't want to bother anyone too much.

I will look into what it will take to host one if enough people are intrested.... Like I said, just an idea, and if it works fine, if not, thats cool too.

Give me your feedback everyone!

I dont mind getting email from people I know ......... its the damn SPAM MAIL that sucks. I get about 125-150 emails a day on my business email account and I pitch about 100 of them with out reading them. My JUNO account is mostly club business so its much better, but I only check it 2 or 3 time a day.

As for posting messages on this BBS, thats the reason it was put here, so dont feel bad about it. I was starting to feel like Dale, Andy, Marc and I were the only ones that knew we had it! I'm glad to see more people using it.

I usually check this BBS about 3 times a day. Around 9 am, 4 pm and 10pm. Im alittle late today, but after all, its Monday!

Well, it looks like Ron just set up a chat room for SCCoA and it can have all the rooms it wants in there.

Nice timing for the request Aaron!

If anyone cares I didn't know that we had our own BBS for SCCOIA.
I just happened to find it by accident. Glad it's here though.

So Mike, have you made your room reservation for Saint Louie yet??????????

Nope,
It looks like my travel plans are going to be like this:

KC on the 19th
Knoxville Outlaw Sprints (4/27)
SC/GTP Shootout (28th)
WFC - Saturday Only (if I go).
Knoxville Midget Championship Race 6-1
Central Ia Ford Show (Des Moines) on 6-2
Knoxville 360 Nats 6/14-15
Knoxville Outlaw Sprints 6/28-29
Goodguys Nationals, (DM) 7/5-7
Easter Ia Ford Show (CR) 7-21
Knoxville 1200lbs Nats 7/26-27
Knoxville Nats (Sprint Cars) 8/3-10
Thunder on 66 (8/13-14)
MN 12 Nats 8-31 thru 9-2
Ford Fun weekend Cordova Ill 9/7-8
Drag City VII (9/15)

This should get me to within about 3 bucks of bankrupcy. Besides, I don't know if I can handle much more fun that this.

I would like to get all of the club to go down to Knoxville for the show on the June 29th date. It is always a great race. If not, the 7/27 date is a good one too.

Bro. if that's ALL you are doing this year finding time to go to Saint Louis, waxing my SC, cleaning my house, going to work for me, oh and running your business should be easy.
right?

Seriously, too bad. But inform me on this Knoxville thing please. I see Cordova on your list too, cool that's only a stone throw away.
