Aaron: Since I haven't heard from you in a few weeks, via e-mail, let me know whether you are following me out to the SC Club of IA meet. You mentioned it in the other post about the caravan, but didn't say whether you were coming or not. If I don't hear anything from you, I'll assume you can't make it and won't be coming.

And for everyone else: I will be leaving the Omaha area by 9:30 am on Saturday so I can be in DSM around 11:30. The meeting place in Des Moines is Bosselman's Travel Center/Truck Stop at exit 142, which is also the Highway 65/ Marshalltown exit off Interstate 80. Just park near the pumps. I will either be parked at the pumps or near them. If I remember right, it takes an hour to get from DSM to Marshalltown so the caravan will be leaving Bosselman's by 12:00.

Mike: I caught a forecast for later in the week and sounds like rain on Thursday, changing to snow on Friday but that's also for here. What's the weather forecast for out there?

Right now it's looking fairly Iffy .........

Friday
Snow or rain likely. Low in the upper 20s and high in the upper 30s.

Saturday
Mostly cloudy. A chance of snow or rain. Low in the mid 20s and high in the lower 40s.

All-in-All it still looks like it will be OK on the roads. BUt keep and eye on the Club Site and I'll post any cancellation notice.

BTW, at the bottom of the Club Site "links" page there is a link to local weather sites.

OK.. If I don't show up on Saturday, it's because of the roads and weather. I'll keep an eye on the weather and go from there.

I'll look at the links too. I plan to watch the weather for both Omaha and DSM/Marshalltown area.

As long as the snow amounts stay right at or under an inch, plus no rain/ice in the forecast, I'll be there. I'll drive in an inch of snow or so.

As to with that forecast, I'll be there. If I don't plan on coming out, do you want me to call/e-mail you that morning to let you know so not to expect us? Just in case there's a topic or two that involves everyone.
