How much does it generally cost to have a mechanic remove an engine (in an SC) and install a new or rebuilt one, incl. all accessories?

That would be 1500 one dollar bills with a carpenters square on them signafying an uneven cut. GET IT YOU ARE GETTING RIPPED OFF. HA HA Cheaper to do it yorself you can rent a engine hoist for 30.00 from U-HAUL.

$1,500. is about right, I did it for $800. once b/c he bought my engine to install. I lost on that job b/c of those glitches that slow you down, plus I was servicing that car for the following 2 months and getting nothing for my time. I agree, do it yourself if you can. Good luck
