Whats the basic rundown of a clutch job?
Any special tools required?
And about how long on average for a first timer?
This would be for a 94/95 5sp SC.... Thanks,
Tom

There's a good bit involved with doing the cltch on these cars. You are going to have to drop the gastank to get the drivesaft out. There's a lot of heat shields and other little stuff that will have to come out. Be sure you mark the driveshaft with the rearend when you take it out to avoid any posssible vibes. As far as tools, a good set of sockets and wrenchs will be needed. A torque wrench will be needed as well. Two "specialty" tools that you'll probably need is a cltch alignment tool and a clutch hydraulic line quick disconnect tool. You can aquire both for under $30 . My best advice is to just make sure you keep everything organized. It can get a little overwhelming and upsetting when you have stuff everywhere and are not sure where it goes. Also, make sure you can sucker a friend in to helping you with the removal and installation of the tranny. :) That 130lbs gets pretty heavy....
