Hey folks,

Long time, no chat. I still have the SC. It still doesn't run properly. I have pretty much lost interest in wasting time and money working on it. Live and learn I guess.

I did pickup a new ranger the other day. I really needed reliable transportation. It's pretty rad actually, even came with a Torsen LSD to boot!

I'll check-in from now and then..Darryl

Darryl,
Sorry to hear your leaving the SC world.
What are you doing with the car.

I'm not really leaving anymore then I already have (I haven't been regularly posting or even reading the forums in well over a year).

For the time being I'll be hanging on to the car. With over 25k 'invested' (haha..invested) and a book value of about $10.00 it's simply not worth it to sell out.

Cheers

Darryl,

I admire how long you've held onto your SC, given that it hasn't lived up to your expectations, nor has it proven to be worthy of a $25,000 investment. If anything, you are a true enthusiast for not having sold the car, even when you haven't been able to enjoy it. Certainly visiting the boards is no criteria for being an active owner and enthusiast, so your absence has changed nothing in my eyes.

I really wish we had all gotten to meet you before you moved back to Labrador. Who is life treating you back "home"? I definitely like the Ranger truck....my fav colour too! ;) Maybe it's time you check back with the community to review the problems you've been having. The SC world is always advancing and learning new things, so maybe someone has experienced the same problems by now, or maybe someone may be able to point you down a road you have not travelled. Just a suggestion. You may find that process renews your interest in the car, and will give you something to work towards during the winter months.

Nice to hear from you!
