Here is a pic of my JetHot coated MAC shorties vs the set of chrome powdercoated 5.0L valve covers I did last week, just a comparison pic, they are very close, JetHot still more chromish looking in person but still damn close.

If anyone wants some valve covers done in the almost chrome look, let me know. To coat them its $30US($45 cdn) if you strip the old paint off, if I have to strip the paint off its another $20.

Jamie,
Did you get the jethot coating done locally, or did they come that way?

A set of MAC shorties would be sweet under the hood of an SC if only they were no mods need to be done to them.
Jamie that looks sweet

I bought the MAC shorties already JetHot coated off eBay for $177.50US, thats cheaper then the MAC shorties alone which run $229US so I couldn't pass up on the deal, they are BRAND NEW too, never used, so I sold my long tubes which paid for these. I find the shorties give a better sound then the LT's and the little bit of power gain from the LT's will not be all that noticeable I don't think, besides my car is more of a daily driver then a track car so sound is more important then a few extra HP I think. Plus the LT's hang low so the extra ground clearence from the shorties will be much better.
Can't wait to get them installed though :)

They need to be modified to fit the SC motor? Explain,,

MAC shorties are for the mustang motor, they will bolt up to the SC motor no problem , but they won't line up with the rest of your exhaust, the collectors are at a different angle on the mustangs then they are ont he SC's you could cut and weld them back on at the proper angle to get them to work, someone has done it but not sure who.

sure no prob. turnaround time would be about a week or less if you strip them first, if I have to strip them it will be 1-2 weeks, only cause I have a full time job and family but can do it fairly quick if you strip the paint off first.

That is awesome! I would be interested in doing my valve covers once I get the motor out. Can you do other parts like say IC pipes?:D

Yes I can do any part that will fit in a regular sized oven. I am doing my jackshaft bracket as we speak :) errr type!
Double check the length of the IC pipes and let me know and I'll see if they fit in my oven, or check if they fit in your ovem that shoudl be roughly the same size.
Again all existing powdercoating will need to be removed, either by me or you, it will be cheaper if you remove it first, and when you start removing it you'll see why, its no fun unless you use chemical strippers which is a little easier, powdercaoting is tough.
