Freebee 35th blew the head gaskets at 173K, you don't know if that was the original motor do you? Well I guess it won't get painted for a while. I'm diggin in this weekend to see how bad it is. No white smoke, no milky oil, no oil in the antifreeze, just bubbled it all out the overflow tank......

Sorry to hear that Gary.

I really couldn't comment on HG's age. They weren't changed while they were in the family.

Did you ever hear anything on your stolen SC?

Lee

Nope......

haven't heard a word on the stolen bird.......

Got the drivers side torn down. #4 cylidener gasket went straight for the water jacket. #2 plug is wet and #3 had some kind rust deposit in the plug. And I can't get two exterier head bolts off the passenger side. I will just keep at....

Gary,

I think you might have a problem with blown head gaskets. Supercharged cars, specially Ford T-Bird Supercoupes, have a notorious problem for doing that. You might want to check out on the Tech forum for some good help on what shops to take it to. I recommend the Ford dealer as they are obviously specialists in Ford motors.

If you want to contact me about the situation for further guidence call me at 213 452 3559, I'm always up for helping.

Yea Al..........

Like the dealer would even want to do it and take my 3rd born.......I have two kids allready and ain't given up another.

They would try to sell me a crate motor.......

I think shop garmo will do just fine........:p

Um, Gary...I was being sarcastic :) Maybe you were too and I missed it...oh well, either way lots of luck!

Got it going today.........

I never want to do that again. Roughly 3 days of hell........ but it's seems to be doing ok.....A little miss under boost but I want to drive for a little bit and see if it clears up. The plugs were allready gapped at .054 so I left it. Probably should of gone down to .045. Oh well another weekend for that. No noises from the bottom end and it idles smoothly. What gives with the torque specs for the heads.....That's just wrong, last torque to 55 and then turn 90-110 degrees. Why cant they just come up with a final torque figure.
