Long Tube Headers w/cats

I want to go with long tube headers, but I also want to use catalytic converters. Would it be possible to use a single hi-flow cat in place of the resonator? Or would 2 cats still fit? Thanx!

George has mid length headers. True longtubes are about a foot longer. I have them on my car and did run cats for awhile. There is not enough room for cats and a resonator. But you don't need a resonator if you run cats. It will be quiet enough.

Dave~ What long tubes do you have? Custom or otherwise?

You guys know the best cats i can get ? i bought the SCP high flow cats and 1 just blew out maybe both, they have less than 7k on them, i just put in a 180 thermostat and was runing a cooling fan switch (manual) and my temp was so good now, then bang, cats blow out ? wtf, anyone know the best high flow cats to use ? also i would like to get the kooks long tube headers next year but would like to use cats and resonator ? is this possible ? Check with Kelly Simons (sp?) in members section. I know he has long tubes and running cat on his car. It can be done. I am looking at this winter on running long tubes with cats. I know it is a little tight.
