Need advise on next mod

I'm trying to decide which I should do next. I'm planning on making an air intake tube with some pipe, etc, keeping the stock air box for now. I was thinking of either getting the 70mm TB or 3/4" raised top. I will do both eventually, but I can only afford one at the moment. I'm leaning toward replacing the TB and porting out the inlet plenum first.

Dan, if you'd like to make a top I have a 3/4" cut and drilled spacer plate. I'd go with a top first. But, if you made one, you might could do both.

I think I am gonna go with the top first. I think I'm gonna go with one from SCPI, as they came down on the price. I like the way the outlet is opened up all the way, plus it has the advantage of being a new casting. I think I'm also gonna get the 8" IC fan from Bill at the same time. I've also been toying around with the air intake. I'm gonna try to make some 3" exhaust pieces fit. I'm going to get a K&N cone filter and put it under the fender. I may try to locate some chrome or brushed stainless mandrel bent pieces to use once I get a prototype built. For now, though, I will use plain low carbon steel or aluminized as it is fairly cheap.

No doubt, Dan the SCP top is the best. You might want to consider using PVC 3" pipe for the intake as it would be a lot lighter in weight than steel. And maybe easier to work with. I've been thinking of using some for a ram air intake from the front bumper back to the air filter.
