IAC correct me if im wrong

Heres the deal, I start the car and pull off lead to IAC after normal rpm. The car will start to die. Ok this is suposed to happen.
After the car is all warmed up I pull the lead and nothing or no change. Now I thought this was a problem but after doing this to all my cars they all do the same thing. I did this because some had suggeted that by removing the wires from the IAC would make the car almost die but this only happends in closed loop.
Is this right or do all my cars have bad Iac`s?

No, that is normal operation. If everything else is tuned properly the IAC should only be operating until the engine gets up to temp, or if the engine is loaded, by the A/C, alternator etc.
