California Dragway schedule

Now that it's starting to get nice and warm...they're resuming drag racing. Starting June 8 for 7 full weekends thru September. It's a new, clean 1/4 mile track with plenty of pit space.

We should plan an outing(s) there too. It's at California Speedway in Fontana. Manny could probably walk there if his car's not ready.

Do you want to schedule something for July or sooner?
I need another month to see if I can get my rims and slicks so July would be good.
However, I'm down for anything you guys are.
I plan only making a minimum of runs at Carlsbad, enough to qualify myself and hopefully get into the official list. Then save my motor.
If I don't qualify, I plan to install the heads that I get from Jason Marsh, after the P&P and stuff. so I would need July.
Also strapping-on the Sidewinder missle to the roof will take some time.

I think I'll be going June 8 and more this summer. We should probably schedule one for July too - to get those new you-know-whats dialed in before Bakersfield.

im not to sure yet but if that is the saturday after finals, i'd like to go and help out at the pists...maybe even run if i can get the rattling out of the car...im pretty sure its exhaust now, i took it for a drive a little while ago when it was quiet and ran through a couple of alleys in the back of my house where its nice and boxed out and heard it...a hissing, and then when i hit the right rpm a rattle...im not too sure which part of the exhaust it would be but i know its exhaust related

PYT...that's great about liking the shirt.
I am trying to get both of my daughters ready to try racing. Just in case the women from up North are serious about racing. I want to see which of my kids do better, Nikki (the daughter that was with me at the Cruise) or Heather, my youngest.
If it goes well, then we will practice at Irwindale.

I don't blame you for not hammering your LX. It is too sweet!
I don't think it would hurt anything to run it once through, just to get the rush and experience.
But you never know and you feel badly if you did break.

Well, with it being my only way of transportation I would seriously cry if I broke it. But I would probably laugh so hard because who ever I would race would beat me by a long shot. So not only would I break it and cry, but I would embarass myself too.

I already informed work so I will be there for sure, wearing my cool T-shirt and rooting all of you on!!!

John...I will try to get down there. It is a haul down there and the old wheel is kinda sore and swollen. Maybe by next week I'll be in better shape. I may start Nikki and/or Heather driving my car in case they end up trying to qualify my SC for Bakersfield.

I plan to be there about 6. They open at 7 for tech. I'd like to be in line early to get a low number hopefully for an early morning run before it starts cookin'.
