I know its not SC related but it is Tbird related. Ive also got a 94 LX 3.8 that is in need of a resonator delete. Im just tired of that quiet whoosh even though i have glasspacks on the car. Where can i get a Flowmaster Y or where can i get one made to get rid of this power-robbing resonator?

If you remove the resonator your car will sound worse than 90% of the hondas w/ fart cannons running around the streets. Buy the flowmaster FLO-15100 resonator from Jegs ($116.95) and put it on your car. I have the whole flowmaster system on my 92 w/o cats and it sounds MEAN. I have a friend w/ a 90 AOD w/ cats, flowmaster resonator, and no mufflers, and its louder than my 92. It sounds pretty good now that I'm used to it, more rumble at idle.

I'm ditching my stock rear mufflers off my 90 SC today, and I'll be getting the flowmaster resonator soon, if its too loud for me I'll add the rest of the flowmaster kit. My 90 has no cats, stock resonator and will no longer have mufflers. I want it to sound good for now, but the resonator is the most restrictive part of my exhaust so my next pay check I'll be ordering the new resonator for it along w/ a 10% blower pulley.

So what youre telling me is that by putting a Y in there its just gonna sound terrible and nowhere near the throaty sound i want? Hmm Guess that'll be 120 bucks taken from the SC fund.:(

Well I cut off my mufflers today. The car between 1000-2000 sounds really DEEP like a 5.0 but its loud. I think its probably too loud and it drones on the highway so I had to turn up the radio. I like my other cars exhaust better, its loud when you get on it, but its quiet enough to be legal and no drone on the highway.

This car has no cats, stock resonator, and then I cut the mufflers off after the Y so the pipes aim straight back. I am going to have to do something about it soon since its pretty loud.

I guess I'll just have to break down and buy an exhaust system for this car too.

Scott, that black SC is absolutely the sharpest black 1st gen SC Ive ever seen. Black is my fav color on an SC next to silver. Hopefully ill end up with a black one too one day.
