Thought I'd share my Saturday with everyone.

This was my morning on Hwy 99 ~ 3"x3" ~ just under my line of view! Had to pull over and collect myself ~ all I know is it was huge ~ and I saw it flying from over the vehicle infront of me.

Then a quarter mile from the house!

Oh what a feeling ~ oh what a smell! :(

Wendy,

Sounds like one heck of a day. So when's the tech party? How high up on the windshield is the damage? If you need some help give me a holler.

I took a soft ball size dirt clod off my windshield Monday morning. I was following behind a set of bottom dumps ( I seem to have a thing for bottom dumps) when the dirt clod hit the pavement in front of me. It bounced up clearing the hood and a direct hit to the windshield. it skipped off the windshield and completely flew over the car. Damage was limited to a two dime size scratches and some pitting. I'll just add it to the already existing vertical crack from top to bottom of my windshield.
So I share your windshield pain.

Mark,

Windshield has to be replaced. Four good chunks were taken out, and you can feel the cracks on the inside. :( It was like it just b-lined for me, about 5 inches up from bottom of the windshield 3 inches in diameter, enough to particially "blur" my view. With the weather dipping so low at night now, I can just see what it'll look like in the morning. Going to turn it into the ins Monday (put that full coverage to use).

As for the BHG, no water in the oil, temp only got to the "O" by the time I got her home and parked it. Had to pull/push it into the garage, and "had" water in 2 cylinders. And only a whopping 110,000 miles! Guess I better cancel my oil change for tomorrow.

After last weekends attemped break-in on it damaging the door lock and now today, I'll let Kurt get with you on a Tech Party. Will be needing all the "prior" BHG help.

Thanks Mark.

Wendy,

Too bad about the mishap, but at least you were able to talk about it. Good thing it didn't go thru. No problem with tech party, just give me a heads up so I can head down.
Any ideas on who tried to break into your car. It really stinks when you can't park your car in a parking lot without worrying that some jerk isn't trying to steal it or parts from it. Hopefully the next time Kurt can have a neighborly talk with the culprit.

Its seams these cars do things all at once.
I blew my head gasket and lower raidator tank and shredded my blower belt all at once with my old motor.

Hang in there Mr. "FORD WRENCH" Kurt well get you back n shape soon its a beautiful car just sick right now.

Hey Wendy,
looking at those pictures made my knuckles bleed. Its been 8000 miles ago since I had my engine apart. Hopefully for the last time. I don't miss those long agonizing hours cursing that car.

Sorry to hear about all of that. I am praying my 1990 doesn't do that every day I drive it. Mainly because I beat the living **** out of it. That sucks. Just did a whole bunch of work to mine and hope it will stay together for a while. Good Luck. See you at Sac again someday.

Well after 4 days of being under the knife, she fired right up without even a sputter and idled like a kitten. After letting her run for about a hour I hit the throttle a couple of times and there was a quick responce. I checked her over again for any leaks (water and vac) everything seems ok. Took her out for a long ride, came home and let her sit till she cooled all the way down and started her again. Solid as a rock!

Wait a minut....this looks like I'm talking about the SC, sorry I was talking about wife...lol :D

Thanks Mark for offering to come down and help. I'm glad you did not have to drive all that way...thanks again.

Brain, thanks for your help...I'm sure you know what I'm talking about.

Manny, thanks for the door lock, it works with the wifes system and the alarm....that was cool dud! The wife and I owe you!

So, it took one day to rebuild the heads, three days for the tear down and put back together. After all is said and done,it cost me a whole 375.00 puka shells to fix her.

These cars look like a pain in the rear to work on, but I'm begining to see how real easy they are. I would still raher work on my toy!!!!!!

Thanks all....Kurt Sr

:D I never thought I'd say it, but I missed my Sc! :D

No sputters, putters, pops, or jitters! Aight Kurt, you DID a great job! Especially since there isn't any can with "I don't know where this goes" sitting around. ;)

"Willpower to resist the call of Horsepower", it was not a difficult choice for me. She is a daily runner and those "go fast" parts seem to have the vehicle more in the garage than on the road.

Thanks to all for the help and advice!

And Kurt, you can have your Supra (pshhhhhhht) Turbo back, I think I will stay with Supercharging! ; )

Ready for the track? Me? I've only been waiting for this day to come! :D Ya! Lets go!
