I have an 85 TBird that came with the 3.8v6 and Throttle body injection. About 6 years ago I pulled the 3.8 and swapped it with 3.8SC out of a wrecked super coupe. Now I have wrecked the 85 and am looking for another body for the mill. The car has been sitting for a liitle over two years because of a move and chaning jobs just did not have time to play with it. After the engine swap it ran fine...made a couple trips from Texas to the East Coast and also was a daily driver for a while. I just ran accross this forum the other day so any advice would be appreciated.

Not interested in a SC Ranger...or a non SC ranger for that matter.

I would put it in a 87-88 Turbocoupe shell if you could find one. Those are nice looking rides. That is the next car I plan to buy.

I've got an 82 that would love to have that engine in it, if you want it. I think that it would be perfect for the 3.8 plus turbocharging. It would be the answer to any GN.

I have an 87 turbo coupe that i would sell you if you wanted it for the engine swap. It runs pretty good and has all options including leather and fog lights. It is a 5-speed and is black in color. I will let it go for $1100. Let me know if you're interested or anyone else for that matter.

I found a 91sc 5spd to swap the engine into. The engine in the 91 is knocking hard. Just picked the car up last night and I am hoping to have both engines out this weekend.

Turboblack.....That 87 sounds tempting but the distance makes it too much trouble.

My gosh man you are right here in DFW TX. Glad you got a car. The 91 has lower insurance rate than 89, 90, or 95 SC. Have no idea why. Could have sold you a 91-5 as well, but son might clobber me. He spun a bearing.

Please get involved in "FordBastards" club on yahoo group. It is made up of Birds, SHOs, and maybe a Probe or 2. We do driving events and they do some get togethers in Arlington to work on each others cars.

I have 7 of these SCs but have been a bit sick to work on them this winter.

You will find the SC corners well. I can get you into MSR to do some cornering if interested.

Look up in Gulf States chapter as well because Blue92 posts threads about his fordbastards FUN RUN and the day at MSR this Jan 18th. Don French is blue92, lives in Arlington, as well as most of the members.

Later, and have fun with the swap if not finished by now.
