IM not sure it did this before i opened up the exaust but when i shift it in 1st and floor it get the rpms up basically redlining it, shift it in second, even though i have it floored, it will shift to 3rd pretty fast so i cant get the rpms up like i would like not even close to redlining it. Like all these autos "Drive" is 2nd and 3rd. And of course the next shift up is 4th(overdrive). Is there a vacuum condenser or some other adjustment i can do? Thanks

No theres no adjustment. You have to reprogram the valvebody to do that. What year SC do you have?

EDIT: Nevermind I see you have a 91 so its an AOD. The answer still stands though.

That procedure will get you in the ballpark.

But, to do it properly requires a pressure gauge on the tranny. I used the procedure and then took it to a tranny shop to get it fine adjusted.

If it's mis-adjusted, you can do some real damage over time, requiring a rebuild.
