Let's Talk About Carlsbad!!

I'm going to try to get my hi-flo cats on before Carlsbad. Then I will put on the 5% overdrive pulley.
I think I will do ok without going new plugs and wires. If I qualify, kwhich I doubt, I will go new plugs and wires.
I wish I had an extra grand for those new rims and drag radials!
You guys are just too fast for me.

I wanna gut mine so bad...but i dunno...for sure i will get dis and tps, and if i get the scholarship in soon, the tires...so i'll be good for a low 15 or high 14, other than that i know i wont qualify, but i just wanna run it and have a decent time slip :)

Great news though, the car was done today, it had a bad damper and it took out the crank sensor...thus killing it and rendering it helpless, bad news is i coudln't get a ride over to the shop so i will wait untill tomorrow to go pick her up.

well this is what i spent: a lot of my time priceless, 60 for the cam sensor, wasn't the prob, 114 for the crank sensor, and now 100 for the damper, dont know but it may be used :( , and 100 in towing, once to lolos from the point of stall and once from lolos to shop.

merc, u got everything u need for the hg and headers install? maybe we can port some stuff out too, someone works the grinder while someone else is doing the hg's etc.

i heard you get some good gains by porting the inlet and outlet of the intake manifold and the blower

Hey guys, I dont know if I should race or not All I have done is headers, high flow cats and a 2.5-3-2.5 to Turbo mufflers (ya know, tha Super Coupe Performance setup). Do ya'll have any idea if any other "close to stock" guys are gonna actually race??? Even if I dont race this is gonna be pretty cool, especially since it is happening in MY town!!! we figure about 3 or 4 are gonna represent in the nor cal so cal showdown, but rons 35th, mikes 35th and my 35th are all pretty close to stock with only some minor bolt ons as well as the barons car, tbk's has a 5 speed swap and some other goodies but still fairly stock, the other guys (john, ewdooly, kris and a few others are the ones with 13 and 12 second cars) so come down run em and bs with all of us, we are a good group and dont mind if i blow my own whistle on that one)

It's really great that you live so close to the strip. If you have a few minutes, could you stop by and ask them to pave that dirt entrance road. And the pits too, if they have any leftover stuff.

Yeah I know, it sucks! But just to let everyone know, in 2 years the Carlsbad track is gonna be COMPLETELY paved over and more office buildings/wherehouses built there. The track is in the middle of a large commercial buisness park, kinda strange that they built around the track in the first place. There was a newspaper article about it and it seems pretty definite, so there should be more meets there in tha future!!!

well, i think we have an xr 7 with jose (jacsxr7) and a blue sc with i forget whom, and then a few others that lurked in here from time to time, wish they hung around more often and made the meets hint hint
