...Interesting.

Where was that clip taken from, Wayne? Some news show?

I'm really not for racing on the street, because of the unwarranted risk that gets put on all the other innocent drivers on the road (and their passengers), but if these guys up in Rexdale or wherever are restricting this stuff to old abandoned factories, or some chit like that, then heck, I'd like to go and check it out some day.

...But admittedly, "I don' got enuff!" :D

Cheers,

Sean

THE FOLLOWING POST HAS BEEN CENSORED TO PROTECT PEOPLES' FEELINGS

Is it possible, when you've been challenged in a street fight, to ask your challenger to wait a few hours while you [BEEP] your [BEEP BEEP] to [BEEP] your [BEEP BEEP BEEP]? Wouldn't everyone on the street [BEEP] their [BEEP BEEP] at you? The dudes in the video don't discuss this.

THE PRECEEDING POST WAS CENSORED TO PROTECT PEOPLES' FEELINGS

That clip is from A&E Inside Story "The Need for Speed". It was done in Toronto about 4-5 years ago. It's a one hour show that follows street racers and cops around showing both sides of the story. There are many one liners from the show that have become common place on the streets like "Do you have enough?". It's kind of like saying "I'll be back". It's really more of a joke than a real question. Like anything on TV, about half of it is real and the other half is over-dramatized and glorified to shock the viewers. I cut this clip for a few other friends but thought you guys might find it funny as well. The show does depict street racing as dangerous and focuses on how many (innocent) people die in street racing crashes every year. Don't try this at home.

Mikey, If anyone challenges you to a street fight then tells you to wait for them, you'd better run the other way because they're going to call a gang or get weapons to beat your ***.

Greg,

Translation to street racing lingo: "Go big or go home."

Cars and racing are addictive. It takes a "special" kind of person to spend thousands of dollars to improve performance by tenths of a second. Tens of thousands for a few seconds. Street racing is very dangerous. You could lose your licence, insurance goes up, and you could hurt/kill someone or yourself. Your analysis is correct.

Wayne, I am talking about racing, not fighting. I used the term metaphorically.
Anyway street racing is a lot safer than rush hour commuting.

Statistically speaking you are probably right. You're more likely to get killed by a SUV blowing through a red light.

Another one liner to make you go hmm:

Speed kills

I always thought the end of that 'joke' was.....no, it doesn't. It's the pole you hit. (not much of a joke in my eyes)

I remember seeing that a few years ago. How much ego and machismo could you possibly wring out of the atmosphere around those guys' heads'?

Greg - does this mean you're gonna put in an offer on Ryan's 4.6 4V????

Mike - do you [Beep] you own [Beep Beep]? Do you even have a steady [Beep Beep]? - LOL!!! J/K!! The twin sisters don't count, eh. teeheeehehe

I like the idea of having gaurdrails on either side of me and an ambulance waiting when 'stuff' happens. You can afford to be more stoooooopid...let's see what happens when I do this....BOOM!

If you're not breaking parts, you're not making enough horsepower.

Wayner, I'm not making enough power yet, but in the spring I should. When I do, I won't be breaking parts either.

Lazybird, I can't figure out what you're talking about.

Then we're even, 'cuz I can't figure out why you can't figure out what I mean.

Having a 4.6 might mean "no head gasket problems like SC's do, hahaha" like you always say, BUT it doesn't mean it'll never happen. Also, there's ALOT more to a car than head gaskets. Remember the whole "you shouldn't spin your stock torque converter above 5250 RPM" thing I told you about? It's only a matter of time......hope you have a plan. Don't play innocent, you know exactly what i'm talking about. What goes around comes around. When you least expect it...BOOM...there it goes. NEVER tempt fate....you'll lose, one way, or another.
What kind of final compression ratio do you think you're running with 9.1 on the motor plus 6 pounds of boost?? Check it out...I think you'll be surprised.

WAYNE - sorry for hijacking, but I think someone really needs to be educated. Many appologies.
