Would anyone be interested in replacing thier old worn out, rusty lower intake bolts for ARP units?
I am having a set made by ARP and the price might be cheaper if i got a few others to buy at the same time.
You don't have to worry about over-torqueing and snapping the heads off the bolts with ARP products and they can be used over and over again with no problems.
Great for those doing engine builds and want the best.
I will get official prices once interest is expressed by 5+ people.
Absolutely!
Although the torque values aren't very high, mine look like crap.

Depending on the availability of them, I'd like them as well. I'm going to have to replace my HG soon and at that time, I would very much be in favor of getting them. That is also dependent upon the cost of them. If they are too high priced I'll opt for the OEM bolts. Let us know a price when you get it.

I'd be in for at least two sets. Torque spec is something like 22ft-lbs, kind of hard to snap these but I suppose it might be possible on removal... Mine looked pretty cruddy when I had to replace the intake a couple of years back and I really hated to reuse them. New ones would certainly be welcomed. OEM's have probably obsoleted by FoMoCo anyway.

I would suggest you look towards stainless socket head cap screws instead, no rust to worry about and certainly strong enough to do the job.

Yes they are ARP I am going through my local machine shop who is an ARP distributor and can have them custom make bolts for specific applications.

I'm not trying to knock this idea, but have you guys given much thought to why you would care to run hardened fasteners like the ones typically offered by ARP for this application??? These bolts don't endure much torque at all. I'm thinking you could swap in many cheap, standard bolts and that perhaps Paul (BTM) is right in thinking of using SS bolts for cosmetic reasons.
ARP typically isn't cheap.

Zach, did anything ever come of this? If not, I have inexpensive kits available now (will put a page with prices, pics and details up over the weekend) with stainless socket head cap screws (use an allen key for installation) and hardened washers for both the intake and fuel rail.

They will not only do the job without welding themselves to the aluminum like the ARP and stock bolts, but will also not rust yielding a cleaner looking installation for years to come. The fuel rail kit will also have an optional torx plus 1/4" drive bit to remove the old stubborn fuel rail bolts. I will be putting these on sale Monday Dec 29th-Jan 10th
