Not many takers...Here are a few prices on some common wheels...We have MANY more sizes and styles so hit me up here or email for pricing on other styles and sizes.

I need 5 sets of the 03 Cobras before they will do the machine work on them for the Tbird fitment.

So if you want on that list then that makes three people on the list counting you. Could you email me with your contact information and any questions you might have?

2 more sets and we are set.

Now...The other CobraR's I can get 1 set at a time. The 03's are a Special item right now.

Thanks

How much for the 03 wheels? These will be custom drilled for our birds?

cudaz101
12-04-2003, 12:25 PM
Yes I can get the 03 Cobra Replicas made by Dante Design. I need 5 sets in order to get them machined to our Tbird Specs. I have three more people to commit before I can place an order. Once the order is placed machining only takes 1-2 days before they are shipped out. So not much of a wait.

Yes they are Tbird 5-4.25 Bolt pattern.

They are 36mm Offset specific for the Tbird Fitment.

Finally they are 150.00 each polished in a 17X9

Any other questions can be answered here or via email @

cudaz101@yahoo.com

Can you get the 10th Anniv Cobra wheels in our bolt pattern yet?

cudaz101
12-11-2003, 10:57 PM
About the powder coated wheel. We were using KMC Wheel Corp. to get the powder coating done and then they up and moved to China so now we are out a paint contract. It is in the works to find a new paint shop though. No news on when we will have one though. Could be a from a few weeks to a few months.

So right now none of the wheels can be bought in silver. Only poished and chrome. If you are not in a hurry we should be back in the paint business so I will keep you in mind if ya like and let ya know when the paint situation changes.

No word on the 10th anny. cobras yet. They would look the bizz though. I will ask if there are any plans to shelf that style and let ya know. They came out with the 03Cobra pretty quick, as well as the Mach1 "That nobody seems to want"...So I would not be surprised to see it by mid or early 04...

Id definetly want to get some 03 17x9's sometime early 04 (Jan or feb). I think that $600.00 is a good deal! How much would shipping be though? Seems like it might be kinda steep to the midwest. Thanks

I can get the bullitts in:

17X8 for 158.00ea. Polished

17X9 are 162.00 ea. Polished

Theses prices are pretty good. The problem is that we have no powder coating service right now. The old coating service we had was a great job, but there wa no polished lip, and the colors was charcoal only. Maybe the new paint contract "When we get it" will be a bit more fun with colors and polished lips on the Bullitts...Hard to say....Regardless I can get them in Polished and Chrome finishes for a very competitive price.

Feel free to email me with more questions, or keep it here...

Two things Brad, "machined slots" explain??? and I saw a set of Chromes ones on a Mustang at a show, I don't know if I want to have to polish all the time on the polished ones.. Chrome available?? and cost?? What's shipping to 32754?? and can I pick up a couple at a time??:D :D

cudaz101
01-08-2004, 01:27 PM
OK,
The Motorsport series has these little slots in the outter dish of the wheel, it is a little more money for them than the regular 280 CobraR's...

The regular CobraR's are 150.00ea. Polished
Motorsport CobraR's are 182.00ea. Polished

The regular CobraR's are 205.00ea. Chrome
Motorsport CobraR's are 233.00ea. Chrome

And I don't car if you buy one at a time. Do it however you would like. Freight is always 20bux a wheel anywhere in the lower 48.

Actually I think the center hub design of the wheel itself is a little more defined than the Cobra's and also each spoke is different more of a flat faced design on the 03's than the old Cobra wheels... The pics are pretty clear you can see the differences pretty well

I think around march I'll be in for a set of 03 Cobras

Also brad what kind of pricing on tires? Say 245/45/17 or 255/45/17.

And can they be pre-mounted and balanced? or are the wheels drop shipped?

thanks. I knew there were slight variations but it goes year by year and i wanted to actually see them and compare b/f i pick one out as the one i like the best. Hands down i like the 03. They are clean. That pic is a polished one? I would be down but i was waiting for money and my tires to wear down b/c i get new rims. Thanks again for the pics. Helped a bunch. Zach
P.S. That cobra r doesnt remind me of what i think a cobra r is b/c im thinkin of the one with the cobra raped in the red R. Someone in mtz with a 5.0 bird has them and they are clean.

When will the rims be available in a silver finish...any news on that?

Id like whatever rims I get to be in a silver finish...would the bullitts be availble in that....would that even look good lol

Thanx,
Jeremy

cudaz101
02-05-2004, 02:27 AM
Josh,
yes they are drop shipped...If you go to a local Tire Factory Dealer "There are a few in your area" you can get a good deal on rubber...I would price the Kelly HPT's, that is what I run and they come in the sizes that you mentioned as well...They are H-Rated and seem to last pretty well...All around I would put them up against any tire I have ever run, and for the money I don't think you can go wrong...Although the Khumos are tempting to try out...

I may be able to slip you into the GP that I am working on right now Josh, I think I am gonna have 5 guys in a few days, but if you turn up in March I may be able to squeeze you in if I beg...:p I was gonna tell anyone that is interested in them to get them now if they can, cuz it seems to take awhile to round up 5 guys...I dunno, it may speed up come spring....

Zack,
The center caps are pretty easy to come by in any design you desire almost...I know you can get the Cobra ones like in the pics, and even SC ones that Todd Jelle makes I believe, and an array of others as well...When you are ready to do it let me know and we will hook you up...

Jeremy,
I am VERY SORRY to say that the Silver finish is not coming back. Dante Design lost their paint shop "KMC Wheel co." when that particular company p[ack up and went to China...They looked for another shop to replace the one they lost and were unable to find one that would keep the quality and at the same time enable them to keep their prices down, so they pretty much gave up at this point. I was told that they were not shopping around for a paint shop. At least I can now give a strait answer though. If you are still interested I would be glad to do something with you in Chrome or Polished though.

Gentlemen,
Thanks for the interest and the inquiries...If you ever have questions or comments please contact me via thread or email and I will be as promt as possible in answering.

Cheers

On the offset of 36mm, that still will require the 92+ Tbirds to use a spacer on the front or it will rub on the spindle. Just wondering what other options you have for the front offset.

cudaz101
02-08-2004, 05:49 PM
I myself have a 94SC with the +36MM offset, and I have no rub issues with the wheels or the tire and I am also lowered with Eibach 1.5 progressives. I also use this car as a daily driver. With a family and all I pack this car to the hilt and still have no problems.

I have not had any complaints from anyone about this either. Although I would say that I did notice that the 17X9 +36MM BS sits very snug in the wheelwell.

Hey Brad, ... Just a thought.

What about getting our stock style wheels in a 17x9... Is there any way to make something like that happen? ... If so, please inquire & let us know what it would take.

I can't imagine anyone not wanting our stock style rim in a 17 so we can stick those 13" Rotors under there. And having them come already chrome or polished would be an extra.

Anthony

Brad

I would prefer the early style. I've seen them chromed and they are unbelievable. I'm sure that if it were possible, it'd be a nice response for puchasing. I can't remember the thread, but a lot of people were interested in larger size stock looking wheels. And to have them Chromed or Polished would be a real treat.

This is so awesome

Doug Franklin recommended me to this thread after I mentioned I would like some 03 Cobra's for my bird. I already have a set but they are a Mustang pattern and I was already looking into getting the hubs to do the swap. Let me get some $$ together then I will be in for a set of 03's in chrome. Now that you can get them by the set that helps even more! Give me about a month and I should have the $$. Need to wait for income tax. This is so awesome man! Keep up the good work!

Duane, below is an email from Brad (cudaz101). Seems the wheels you liked on Vernon's car are not available in aftermarket so I gues you need to do the hub change to use them. I liked the '03 Cobra wheels so I jumped on this even though it came at wrong time. All these GB do.:D
__________________

Doug,
Those are a Cobra wheel, from what year escapes me, seems like around 94-95?? Anyway, for whatever reason they never decided to replicate them. I think the only way to do those wheels in your case would be to do a hub swap to a Mustang hub.

I would like to get you another set of 03's cooked up for your daily driver, or we could look at doing something differant if ya wnated...The ADR wheels I have are pretty nice wheels, and they are in stock and can be shipped out immediatley...And they are complete Tbird spec. wheels to bolt right up...

The wheels posted 2-12 are what they call HMC Chrome...They are a special type of coating system that looks exactly like chrome, but has the same charectoristics as paint...It is a new coating that is pretty hot right now..Nothing is better than chrome right now, but this stuff has really come a long ways and has the best of both worlds so to speak....

Doug thanks again for the interest, and also for choosing to do business with us...If you EVER have questions or concerns please contact me....

Sorry Bard. Maybe I should not have posted your email. But I think Duane has the older set and was going to change hubs. I just threw out your wheels as alternatives.

Duane maybe we do need to talk since you suggested somewhere to sell those older Cobra wheels and buy these 03 from Brad. I may need some Stang wheels I found out tonight. I will send a PPM or email. Don't want to buy anything Mustang but I may have a problem.

Well initially I thought he could see if you had that older wheel in aftermarket to get the right offset and bolt pattern. You answered that...no way.

So I think he must want the 03 cobra so no hub change. I don't know him but need to go meet him. I will be glag to go show him mine when they arrive and maybe he will order a set.

Did you advertise this in TCCoA? Texas leader asked me about this deal today when I mentioned getting new wheels. If not you may want to post something in each state chapter. I seldom look anywhere over there except the TX one. Their site is down for the weekend to get a new ISP out of Dallas as they had a bad one slowing things up for them.

That one link you gave me with all the styles did not work last time I tried. Maybe it works now so folks can select what wheel they want.

Ok here's the deal. Just to un-confuse everyone.

I have a set of polished 03 Cobra rims I bought off eBay while back. There are rims I've been wanting for my SC since the 03 Cobra came out. But then I got them and realized the pattern was different. I kind of just suspected it to be the same. My friend has a 95 Cobra that he swapped some wheels on. He dropped the stocks and threw on some 00 Cobra R's. So he had those lying around. He also has some 02 Bullitt's, 95 Cobra R's, Steeda's, stock 95 GT rims and his stock 95 Cobra's. I was thinking about doing a hub swap and putting the 95 Cobra's on. Then I found this thread that showed me I can get my dream SC rims in my bolt pattern. The cost is around the same for a brake and hub swap for the SC. So this is the route I'm going. Just need my tax return in and Brad you'll have another sale!

Doug I pm'd you about the 03 Cobra's I have. If you need them let me know!

Got my rings. Did not need extra lug nuts as I had bought a set. But OK I will use them on another car.
Thanks

Hey Brad, got them and they are the BIZ!! Motorsports 280Rs, I just love looking different than all those folks out there that have the plain Corbra Rs :D :D :D :D :D :D

Motorsports Cobra 280R (http://www.sccoa.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=5927)

They are going to have new Cooper Zeon W rated tires on them tomorrow, 275-40 17 on the rear 245-45 17s on the front!!!

Awesome wheels Brad thanks for the deal!!!

THose look awsome. I think you may have changed my mind from getting the regular cobra r's. Those really give it a bling bling look and are something a little different. Are those polished? Chrome? what. They look awsome and props. Zach

Hey SlinginB, they are chrome dude... As soon as I get my springs and shocks put on, the car will sit a little bit better, right now there's a pretty good gap but hey the wheels do set it off. I always like the Cobra Rs they were always clean and smooth looking to me... Now these!!! I saw them last year on a Mustang at a show and just can't get over them, I don't think they'd look quite as "bling bling" in polished, if your car is dark or one of the Pearl colors these are the ticket....
