motor went bye bye

I hit 6,500 in first shifted into second , missed the shift ,
damn syncros.

so I was on way home and it started the death knoll.

got a ratta ratta tat when I rev it past 2000,

sounds like the speed of a rod knock but sounds like its up top,

Im going to put motor from 89 in it.
then tear it down and inspect,
wonder what went , my bet is a piston ring land,

damn just when I was getting used to a little power,

oh well heres my chance to make it bullit proof ,
no not silver bullit proof , out of my league.

but hey I was going to put the trans from 89 in it anyway,
now just putting that big thing infront of trans too.

if your wondering I was running,
a much modified m90 and my own intake plenum,

to match the big opening in my blower " I cut down to bearing bosses sort of a D shape

a 70mm tb 38 injectors 1.8 roller rockers
ported heads and ported exh manifolds,
10% pully
she was running sweet guess my inverted 35% run was to much for her poor girl she was abused I know she was lean as hell,

when the blower went boom ,

lucky the motor in the 89 runs great, but no more testing parts till I rebuild my motor, by the way sold another sc today I only have the 92 and the 89 Im parting,

I was so happy id sold the 93 that I had to do a victory burnout
ohh well the money will be used to rebuild my motor.

hell Ill build a 8 second motor and run 14s all day lol

just kidding no intentions on building a race car just a fast street car,

did you had your rev limiter removed? because once i missed a shift too i hitted 6600rpms and the engine cut down until i was at 5000 or so.(ecc rev limiter in autos is supposed to be 5600 and 6650 in 5 speed )

35% od damn!! you must been running `12psi at idle lol!

i hope you can continue your research and find a better way to use the blower, is seemed like it was going ok.

the blower didnt blow the manifold did I didnt take pics , I started repairing it already didnt think to take pictures,

I was In a hurry to get it going again, as mine is different than the others Im doing, a few hidden hp secrets built in,

air difusers and such, maybe this time a pop off valve would be good >lol

Is massive boost just a little too irresistable for ya manny? Its ok..shyt happens and when ya roast a few GNs it'll be worth right?
