Hey guys! I need some advice. I am just learning how to drive stick. My friends put me in a car yesterday and told me to drive. I didn't even know what to do! But I soon figured it out after ruining his clutch and grinding the gears over and over. hahaha It was so funny! I wish I had a video camera.
If any of you have any advice on how to "CORRECTLY" drive a stick, please let me know. My friends are not helping me at all. They basically said, "tough $##t! If you want to learn Mandi, then get in the car and listen to the car--it will talk to me." lol
*****I have to say though, that I did not stall once!!! Pretty good for not knowing how to drive the damn thing*****
Thanks,
Mandi =0)

every car is different. slowly let out the clutch and feel for the engine to grab (engine slows a bit and the car may move slightly) then play the balancing act of easing out the clutch and applying the gas. Practice a lot in parking lots and empty streets befor you go out on the main roads. Also stay away from hills (moving from a stop on them) untill you feel comfortable with the way you handle it. There is more to teach, but it is mostly hands on stuff. You will get it soon enough :)
