He's never done work for me but I know others he has done work for. He's been around a long time and knows AODs. He is quite knowledgable if you want to upgrade the AOD as well. He has a good reputation for honoring his warranty and standing behind his work.

If you want a serious AOD, then also check out Lentech. Not cheap, but they are the best for AODs and offer lots of toys nobody else does. I've got their AOD street terminator plus with stage 2 input shaft/drum and 9.5" convertor. The tranny is rated to 1100 hp and still retains automatic shifting.

A little closer to home, they rebuilt mine for about $1400 no tax.
I have no problem recommending their services.

Ya Greg

And by the way thanks to everyone for the replies so far. I am taking it to wolf transmission this morning since they built it 3 years ago and they are going to pull off the pan and see what going on. My simptoms from reading up look like a stuck piston somewhere.

I will fill you in when I get back tonite.

I got up early to drop it off so they could look at it. Had an appointment. Turned to dis appointment. Went for a 3 hour breakfast, came back and the car was untouched. Got nothing but excuses. He took it for a test drive, comes back and says heard a grinding noise, got to pull it out. Wants 1500 bucks for an illegal immigrant rebuild from wolf transmissions next door.

I said whats it include, he says stock rebuild.
I left disappointed. The overdrive is completly gone now. Shifting a little better now, doesnt hold onto the gears as long. I know it is going to go soon that when I sell. Saving for a 2005 mustang.

I sure would like a lentech though. they have a warehouse here in richmond hill. They want 2700 bucks us. Ya like I am goona give up my crack habit to support theirs, not a chance.

if you're willing to cross the border to buffalo i know a good shop down here. i was quoted $650 US for the rebuild with my transgo shift kit and rebuild kit. my tranny was so busted up inside and my flywheel. it ended up being $890 US which is still a killer deal around here. they do excellent work as my dad has also brought his ford truck there for a rebuild. i'm satisfied with mine. took about a week to get it done. let me know if you want the address.
