1991 T-Bird

Owned by Kent Hall, built by Bart Spivey of BartsWorks bart@bartsworks.com www.bartsworks.com

The engine is a bone stock (internally) 97 5.4L from an E-350 van with custom one-off blower assembly using a 2300 AX Whipple blower fabricated by BartsWorks and tuned using the FJO WBO2 controller. Other modified or custom fabricated items include the transmission, rear, suspension, steering, brakes, tires, and interior. A very long list!

That looks like a pretty sweet installation ... too bad they didn't quote any power numbers for it. Appears to have a nicely done custom intake to go with the Whipple.

That's a pretty clean install and that Bird must fly. There's another engine on that same site that didn't look too bad either. A small block Ford - Twin Turbo with 1200hp. Wayne, looks like a winter project for you.

Sean, if you click on the first link in Wayne's post, it will take you to a page that shows the T-Bird, and a few other projects, including the TT 302.

Ed,
I think you should start some kind of TT5.4 that would make more HP then you would know what to do with.:p

I think a single turbo, or more likely a Roots-style blower, will be more than adequate for the 5.4 DOHC project. Ford is getting 500 hp / 500 torque out of the new Ford GT engine, which is a 5.4 DOHC with a Lysholm compressor.
