I had these Goodyear Eagle Ultra Grip snow tires put on the SC a couple weeks ago, and all I can say is "Holy Traction Batman"! Excellent traction, with big improvement over the Cooper's that I run in the summer. I've got a friend who works for a Goodyear dealer and got me 225-60-16's from OPP cruisers that had flats. The tires are like brand new and they can't put them back on the cruisers due to police regulations. $25/tire for flat repair, mounting, and balancing. I figure $100 for a set of snow tires is a pretty good deal. Here's a couple pics.

Yes they do Dale !! Good to see that you have them on all 4 corners too.

When my SC was my daily driver, I got through the winters just fine with Bridgestone or Pirelli H-speed rated winter tires on the stock wheels, even with the car lowered.

That is a steal of a deal !!!!!!
I was going to post a question but will just add to this one since the topic came up. I need a set of 15" winter tires to go onto my rims ( see picture attached.) New tire composition technology(Blizzak style ) is considered great for traction but do they make sense on our heavy cars. Should SUV open tread winter tires(Duellers style) be used on our cars? 2ndly, the winter rubber currently on my rims are 215-65-15. What would be the ideal size for winter ? 205-70-15 ?

Those Goodyears sound pretty good, however IMHO narrower is better for winter tires.
I have had 3 different experiences:
Canadian Tire M&S, the chunky ones - best digging for dollar value, for the 1st two seasons you can chew through anything with these, after they get worn, the tread blocks don't flex as much, and they are pretty slick on wet surfaces.
My 2nd set was a "fancy" Dunlop winter tire with all the sipes etc, decent, but not as much improvement over CTire as the $ was, and they did not perform as well in really deep snow, but they were better on hard pack and ice.
My latest (last 3 or 4 seasons) have been on Yokohama S401 Winter radial. Very good in many respects, have often pushed my 90 through snow deeper than the car with these. Only drawback was that the sizes available were 215 75R15 so they are a bit on the wide side.
Tires I wished I had/Have tried - YokoGardex600 SUV - I like lots of Void this is best for deep snow. Would like also to have tried Michelin winter what ever its called.
My experience is based on 12yrs with these cars and lots of ski trips to Collingwood/Quebec etc
