Sorry Bob that I did not drop by on Sunday. I finished up my car on saterday night and alowed the IC sealent to settle over the night. The next morning when i started her up she was working perfect. I start my way to your house, a block later I hear that anoying power steering pump noise, i opened her up in the middle of the street to find that all the fluid was dumped again. Next time I go home i'm going to have to yell at ford to tell them that they gave me a wrong part for the second time.
I need some help here guys. Anybody know what seal i can get a power steering line and where. I don't remember if this line is the return or what, but the washer sits in between two copper or brass pieces that are 3/4 bolt size and attach right to the power steering rack. The only way i can reach it with a wrench to losen or tighten is to take everything apart from the drivers side all that way to the frame. Yup, that includes the IC tubes, power steering pump rack, and all that good stuff. Any replies would be great. Lets at least keep this forum alive guys. Peace

Seirgo,
Your right your going to have to pull everything to get to the fitting that is leaking.
There is a 90 degree fitting that goes into the power streering pump that has a problem from time to time. it sets right under the motor mount. You can get it from ford for about 36.00.
BUT, if thats not the problem than I would check the power streering line as it runs under the oil pan. It may have rubbed threw the line. Fill the power streering res. and start the car (with the front of the car up on jack stands) move the line right where it runs under the oil pan. If it is leaking there it will flow more as you move it around.
If it is leaking at the fitting it will leak right a way...good luck!
As Rob said, I'm not sure what it was your trying to say in your post but I think this is close.

BTW if the hose is rubbing under the oil pan, that is usually a sign that your motor mounts have gone bad and are allowing the engine to sit too low. You have to fix the motor mounts before the hose, or else the new hose will just be ruined too. If that's the problem, be sure to replace them with the solid rubber mounts from www.supercoupeperformance.com or www.mn12performance.com.

I have changed all hoses besides one from the power steering system. So far, i have torn down the drivers side all the way to the leak 4 times already. OK, Lets see if i can explain this:)
Once the top intercooler tube, power steering pump rack, alternator, spark plug moduel and lower intercooler tube have been removed then once you look in there, you can see 2 brass parts going into the power steering rack(not power steering pump rack). One of the copper pieces has a 1 1/2 inch cylinder shape but inseat of being circular, it is shaped for a 3/4 wrench. To get this washer out, on that 3/4 cylinder you can use two 3/4 wrenches and seperate them. Now this copper part seperates completely, the washer is in there. I hope that is a good enough description.
Oh yeah, so far i have put 2 different washers in there, and they all seem to last for a week or less. Thanks for your guys' help.
