whats the deal with all the westend meets?

The deal is if folks have paid attention is that I have done 2 west ends for one east end for quite some time. It is closer for the majority of attendees and better places to meet and eat.

I for one would like to see an equal east and west end meets. This is not about majority.

Thats funny i looked back and the meets have alternated evenly until October of this year when you started doubling up on the west end meets!

I bet none of us want to drive to the other end of the city but fair is fair.

I for one would like to commend Andrew & Les for their fine work setting up the meets this fall. Don't let those east enders lobby you for special treatment.

Ya can't win it seems. damned if I do and damned if I don't.

Frankly at the moment I don't give a rats azz if we have no weekly meetings. There are other things going on in my life besides worrying about who I please and who I don't. If you don;t like where the meeting is then simply don't show up, it isn't mandatory that you do.

I asked Andrew to post the Harp for me, it was my choice not his, this is my duty as a club exec to host weekly meetings. I do the best I can, if it's not good enough, so be it.

If I sound pi-ssy....sorry best I can do right now.

Uh-oh, we got Les all pissed off again !! ;)

Really guys, I've mentioned this before ... do we really need to look at each other's ugly mugs every week ? I don't think so, I'd rather see bi-weekly meets, that's more than enough in my opinion.

For all you non-crybabies, see you tonight. :D

cheers

No one piss-ed me off Ed at all. I just expect people to undertsand that we have other things happening in our lives, some good, some not so good. Perhaps that is too much to ask of fellow club members and what I see as my friends.

Well I really don't want to get involved in this but I for one did not know that we were doing the "two west one east" thing. Like you pointed out Les, there are more important things going on in life for me to notice that.

That being said, I could have innocently asked the same question as Steve N and then recieved attitude in return.

I take it from your words that you are going through some things in your life, and not all active members may know that, including myself. Had it not been for this post I would have thought everything is fine.

This responce has nothing to do with the meet itself, but more with the issue that people might not know that your are going through a difficult time, and then they would be branded as being "selfish" for not being more understanding.

Please don't take this in a negative way, because it was not meant to sound like that. I hope eveything works out for the best.

I'm sorry guys, none of this is intentional or directed at anyone, things just hit me the wrong way.....sorry

Weekly meets or not, west or east, I try to make it out to all the meets, some I do some I don't. I think Les and Andrew are doing just fine, there are too many of us to please all the time. Heck pleasing any of us some time is a great feet lately.

I'm going to try to make it out to this one, I owe to my self to keep the ribs down, this time.

I thought the ribs were great there, everyone says so.....or was it just you? Being sick....not great, that is - LOL!

With regards to the whole East/West thing guys....I can't make a complaint either way, mostly because i'm in between all of them (lucky, I guess). Majority rules, selfishness, 'good' versus 'bad' turnouts (I don't believe in either), bi-weekly versus weekly, all are good reasons to call on. I've been to meets when there's five people (thelast east end meet) and when there's 18 people. It's up to you to decide if it's worth coming out or not. If it is...great. If it's not....that's fine, too, see you next time and hope all is well. Heck, I can hardly remember what Bruce or Jason even look like 'cause it's been so long, but "see you next time and hope all is well". Don't take this as a 'who cares, if you don't like it then too bad' attitude....it's not. Especially not from me, never has been and never will be. I've suggested two meet places in this past year and one was very successful and the other was a flop - so be it. I'm sure we'll see more meets at Timmy's @ Crossroads next year because it convenient for most. Unfortunately that is not always the case.

Perhaps more central locations are warranted? I've got a few ideas to pass around, i'll suggest them tonight, and post them tomorrow. Right now i've got a meet to attend.

See you next time and hope all is well.;)
