Changing to poly bushings on front sway bar

Has anyone done this? has it helped?
I'm no mechanic. Any advice would be helpful. I have a 93, is the front sway bar 1-1\16"?

william, I have not simply replaced the bushings, but yes it would have some effect. Not nearly what you would experience from upgrading the bar to 1.25". I personally went to an 1 3/8" which produces a monumental change. I am unsure as to the bar's original diameter. If you decide to upgrade the bar, it is not a fun job. Good luck. Larry

Check out the www.mn12performance.com
website he has all the info on there for sway bar sizes etc...
I think the 1 1\16" will fit on your 93
though that size does not fit on earlier sc 89-90
also would be a good time to replace the endlinks if they havent been replaced b4--fairly inexpensive+easy

Energy Suspension

Energy Suspension sells poly sway bar bushings. They come with the mounting bracket AND have a grease zerk. The poly bushing has a grease channel around the sway bar. You can get'em in ALL the T-Bird sway bar sizes. Auto Zone carries them all EXCEPT the 1 3/8" model.

ADDCO sells poly end link bushings kits. Energy suspension probably does too, but I'm not positive about that.

The rear is easy to do. The front is a mutha.
