Advice Please!!!

I just bought me 2 SC's to make one but I'm not sure how I want to do it. I have a 92 That looks ok other than the interior is ragged out and the engine doesn't run. I'm guessing blown head gasket as the car has little to no compression on the left bank plus the obvious oil and water mixture. This car is a 5 Spd car nearing 300K. (286K to be exact). The other one that came with it is a 93. It doesnt look all that well has various dents and dings all over including the left quarter is hit pretty good.. The interior isn't much better than the 92. It only has 108K and is an AOD. Part of me likes the idea of the 5 spd better but I have no idea how good the transmission may be. I also hear that in these particular cars the AOD's produce slightly better time. I'm preety sure what Im going to do is transplant the engine into the 92 5Spd but my question is, should I just switch out the engine or would it be wiser to switch the trans as well. Also, is there anything extra I should either do or look for when I get the engines out. Thanks for any "expert" advice you may have.

Just switch out the engine. There are a some things on the 93's that were better than privious years. I would just make a list of the strong points of both cars and swap as necessary. Go with the 5-speed though IMO. Plus, if you have the engine out it would be smart to do a rebuild. Better off doing that then doing a swap and having the engine blow up on ya after all that work!
