Hello,
Would anyone happen to know of anywhere or anyone that would be selling a long block with less than 100k on it?
I have this bad feeling that Big Blue may need a Heart transplant in the near future. I would like to buy a used engine and take my time to rebuild something with a little more get up and go lol.

I have the original engine from my cougar. It has 187k Still ran great. Did have lifter noise.

I have an 89 5 speed block with about 110,000 on it, a pair of heads with a 72,000 on them plus other parts if interested. I was going to keep them for a future project but I'm changing directions with my SC.

Thanks Derek, I am looking for something that I can just swap into my car and keep running because it is my daily driver.


Mark, do you have the complete long block or would I have to put it together?
I would rather not swap too much from my engine.

When you say in pieces do you mean that you have a bare block?
Is the lower end complete, and the heads separate?
How many miles on the lower end?
I have a nice long break coming up (Love working for the School District he he), and will be using the time to do a little surgery on Big Blue.

The bottom end is still together. It has about 110,000 on it. It came out of Nate's old car. The heads are from my engine. They have about 72,000 on them. I blew a head gasket at the back of the # 3 cylinder on my engine. So I took the heads off from Nate's old engine and Jim Sr. worked them over for me.
I don't plan on building another engine for my car.

$1000.00 compleate with stainless high flow valves comp springs plus a stroker short block with Crankshaft specialist forged steel crankshaft special made got block crank rods pistions all for $ five thousand dallars

Can we say 11's for you Jim Demmitt Sr. stroker motor all ready to install just takes big bucks or buy the Silver Bullet all extra parts for $ 15,000 turn key deal

Its a 68 fastback :)
Has 289ci top loader 4 speed tork thrust wheels like Steve Mcweens Bullet Car. brand new BFG's all the way around its the one we took to Bodega Bay Cruise.

It needs a good home needs paint and some interior work its all black leather interior fold down back seat bench type front seat with fold down center arm rest.

Special licence plates (Bullet 68) my dad was going to make it just like the car in the movie. want to get at least $7000 for it also have 68 glass shelby hood and front valance air dam
