Question about these inserts:

What to do when the car gets painted?

I really like the look and would love to get a set, but my car is in serious need of a paint job, which I probably won't invest in for a couple years.

Should I wait to put the inserts in, or will they pop out okay and adhesive clean up to be painted? I don't think masking them off will give a good look, especially if I change colors.

rock5 im sure you could take the inserts out and get the car painted. Just make sure while they are all off....that you clean the adhesive off the back and replace with a thin double sided 3M tape. Or possibly an epoxy.

they are stainless steel....they should be easily reusable

They are not reusable. The adhesive is so strong you will bend the inserts to get off. You can mask and paint or just wait. Thats why we give a lifetime guarantee, because they won't fall off

Ahh, that's what I thought with the mention of "permanent". Thanks for the info.
