New front image work done on the SCCoSC website. Also did a quick page for the Irwindale meet. This is not the final product....just the beginning.

Also, the front page image is VERY much so cropped down. The final image size is 12" X 12". That way if we want to make shirts w/this, we can.

Anyway, let me know what you think.

Just did a few more changes. Obviously things will change as time goes along...but, as you can tell from my other websites, I REALLY like this setup. I feel it's easy to navigate and links are ALWAYS easy to find (You don't have to search all over the page for what your looking for).

I'm currently setting up mailboxes for those who want them. for example I have created myself a mailbox of tbk@sccosc.com.

For those of you who want them let me know. It will have a limit of 5MB (unless there is a reason you need more) mail space.

You also have the option of having a website hosted within the SCCoSC. for example you could have 35thSC.sccosc.com or mike.sccosc.com. It's all up to you. You'll have FTP access to your directory. This server runs ASP, PHP, MySQL, perl, other CGI apps, and basic IIS services. If you don't know what this is, then just create your webpage in basic HTML form. :) 5MB or webspace should fit most anything you need for your car on there. I'm trying to limit the size only because I don't want to be hosting "porno" or "mp3" stuff within your site....this kills my Xfer rate because those types of things are hit hard.

Currently there is no charge for these services...and I'm going to try and make it so I don't have to charge. However with a kiddo on the way now, things might change on this. Either the transfer speed will drop drastically (from 80KB/s to 8KB/s) or I'll have to start charging.

In the mean time...don't hesitate to setup a website. If you need help I'll be happy to design a basic page layout for you. From there you'll have to modify it the way you want it and update it as you see fit. HTML is really pretty easy. You can get a basic HTML too, like Netscape or MS Word, and compose you own.

That's it for now. ENJOY!

Webpage

Although not an official member yet (how do i become one) i did web design for two years and would love to help with the website if its needed.

Re: Webpage

Well, I haven't join SCCoA myself either. I pretty much just show up to the events and make a general pest of myself. I just do my best to contribute to the group (be it good or bad).

Currently I think the webpages are doing ok....they are still in the beginning stages so it's kinda hard to think of something, right now, that needs to be done. I'm going to setup an ASP news section on the main page. I'm hoping this will keep everyone on the up-and-up.

We DESPERATELY need to pick a president. It seems Ron is doing a lot of coordination, but I just started in this section of SCCoA a few months ago...so I could be wrong on this (sorry if I stepped on anyone's toes).

btw---Thanks to John there are more pictures in the "Previous Events" catagory!!!!

Oh :)

Okay, seems this chapter is still new. Sounds cool though. If theres stuff to be done then float a post my way.

TBK and BlkSC

May I suggest a Member Section where we can reflect our member info and pictures of their respective rides?
Names and addresses may be useful for those in different areas of SOCAL so that they may act as ombudsmen for their respective areas.
What do you think?

Ron for President!

TBK - I second your nomination of Ron for our leader. He's certainly doing a great job of it already!

Re: Ron for President!

Ron,

When I suggested doing "websites" for people within the SCCoSC that is actually what I had in mind. Basically it's the "members" area. They'll have a basic layout just for the "main members" page and then their specific website under that.

When we do the drive in May I would like to get a big group shot of everyone and then individual shots of the cars. If the owner wants to stand in front of the car (or someplace by/in it) then that is fine as well. Then a list of mods and other information.

Ron

Im new and probably dont count but i vote for RON !!!

( just going with the masses lol )

Al! LOL

All votes count!!! Al will probably think his counts more because he's a post whore!

Re: Al! LOL

On a side note: What do you guys think of the main page cover art? Also, I now have a news section added to the main part (right frame). You can add your comments to it by pressing the comments link.

Re: Al! LOL

well i cast my vote for ron
not that has ben decided who do we make vice prez i would say john

What?

I figure this Chapter is like a band of pirates. The Big Dawg is the leader of the pack. John Shelton is by far the fastest, the most knowledgeable and the glue for this club. He is the one that lobbied to get our chapter represented on this bbs and is well known by the preponderance of the other SCCoA members.

Like I've said before, John Shelton is the Man.
His modesty and integrity is what we need to give us credibility for this unit.
I'm flattered guys, really! However, John is the Big Dawg and is the logical choice for President of this Chapter. I will gladly accept his nomination as his aide de Camp or VP, should he wish.

Btw TBK, did you get my e-mail with the pics?

Re: What?

Let's try it again. 1st try worked now let's see what happens with the attachments.
