SCCOA Live Chat?

Just thought id throw this in, i think alot of people that are on this site would be interested in a live chatroom. It would be great for us guys/gals that feel like shooting the breeze with each other. Also a great place to help others or get info immediatley.

I really hope this is considered.

Ok here is a first stab at using an open source php/mysql based chat:

I will need to modify the colors and I will attempt to set it up so that you can log in with your same id and password.

Please feel free to test it out and report back on what you think.

BTW - the bottom bar of the chatroom seems to be cut a bit short. Not a big deal , everything seems to work great. Just too bad that theres no one on here to talk to yet:( :p

3 times ive been in the chat and only once was there someone actually in it. Seems as though sccoa has been slow lately. Hopefully it picks up after the holidays.

Someone mentioned in another thread that we should pic a day of the week and try to start a chat night. That would be a good idea. Another idea would be to put a link somewhere like up top where we have usercp,register,faq, etc.

yea the only thing is picking a day or night for chat that many can agree on. I would assume a monday or tuesday evening?

I am also having problems with the new chatroom. It seems the login page simply refreshes when I input my user/pass and click the button. I have a registered username for the chatroom, it worked previously, I believe before the cosmetic redesign. This problem occurs in both Mozilla & Internet Explorer, latest versions..

I register I recieve E-mail . Click linky but no worky.... Always confirmatioon failed...... Try to send E-mail to me@mydomain but msn postmaster sends it back as not delieverd. WHAT UP ??????

I just kept reregistering under different nick names and passwords and it finally hit.


I think there should be a mandatory person who has to stay in the room and and chat . Perhaps you moderators could split the duties. HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!

It seems nickname registration and login is working much better now, and there are 89 registered users currently. I think it will continue to get more popular.
