Who has done this (removed air silencer with K&N installed in wheel well). How much of a power gain have you noticed? Was it worth the $120 or so?

I had one
I had one of these a few years back on my sc, it worked great I changed to the zr just for the look factor but didn't notice any other difference performance wise between the two. Installed easy and kept the engine bay stock looking. I don't think that there is a noticeable difference in performance it may seem like it because you can now here the supercharger whining a lot more! The zr intake drops into the same area as the mn performance one also.
