Yesterday I reinstalled my stock throttle body and intake tube, loaded the tank with 5 gallons of 100 octane Union Blue race gas and passed my smog test with flying colors. Funny thing is it runs much better with the stock TB and tube than with the 70 mm and solid aluminum tube. Although I suspect that the air idle bypass valve on the 70mm TB was malfuncting and sticky, it sure is easier to drive with the stocker. I'll find out if and when I reinstall the 70mm with a new valve. Also I never checked the TPS calibration which is adjustable on the 70. Next year I'm going to invest in a wide range oxy sensor and guage. Good instrumentation is the only way to tell which way to go.
