I was wondering if anyone had some pictures of thier car with 245/50/17 tires and stock ride height. I couldn't find any using the search button. Thanks!!

Thomas

I went from a 245/45 tpo a 255/55..YEEAHHHAAWWW hehe

Thomas a 255/50 would fit great and giv eyou a lil more height

I got pics of 255/50's

Here are pics of my car with 255/50/17 tires with stock ride height.
245/50/17's shouldn't be much different looking.

Sorry it's so bad of quality, they're taken from my camera phone.

Thanks for the replies and pictures. The three size's I'm considering are:

235/50/17
245/50/17
255/50/17

The 245's would be my first preference, then the 235's and 255's. There aren't very many tire selections in any of those sizes though :(

Actually, a 245/50/17 is only .02" shorter then the stock 225/60/16 while the 255/50/17 is .41 taller then stock.

Thomas

Maybe you could try a 225/55/17.

About .1" taller than stock, many tire brands to choose from.
The only thing I can think of is that you won't have quite the handling capability of a wider/shorter tire.

Thomas this is one of those things that depending on tire manufacturer it will be different..I was wrong however..I just checked my tires are 27.1 inches tall..rides great though..I probbaly went with that size because of the width and the fact it raised my car up a bit..Musta been all those drugs I didnt do in High school//

anyone ever run Kumho 255/55R17's

Not on my SC, but I have run those on my Dakota R/T, and for the price of them, they can't be beat. Under $100 each, and offer good traction and handling as well.

Joe, you shouldn't be squishing those nice new tires up against the curbs like that !! ;) :D

The 245-50-17 size is a good choice for our cars, too bad there isn't more brand and model selection for it. Stems from lack of use of that size in original equipment applications, the only one I can think of is some of the big supercharged Jaguars about 6 or 7 years ago, before they went to 18 and 20".
