Engine timing question

I took out my cam and will be replacing cam bearings when the block is at the machine shop. I also have a new timing chain and sprockets. When I install the cam later on and timing chain is it just a matter of lining up the marks on the new sprockets and making sure that the lobes for #1 cylinder are in the closed position? The keyways on the cam and crank will not change right?

Check out the cam threads for info on degreeing your cam. very interesting. I upgraded my cam while I had my engine apart. I did not degree my cam but that is the way to make sure your mechanical timing is exact.

Like posted above. It won't change from the way it was before you tore the engine down.
