I am a new member and i have a 94 Bird with blown headgaskets. Can anyone tell me the best headgaskets to use and if i should get high flow cats to help solve the problem of the gaskets going again. I already have the block and heads milled to ensure flatness. The shop has taken off 25 thousands on the heads and 10 thousands on the block. Thanks for the help.

go for FEL-PRO gaskets. AutoZone may carry them now, or pretty much all auto stores now. Yes high flow cats are a great idea along with almost any exhaust system upgrade.

good luck on your repairs! hope it runs good for you afterwards!

p.s.- on a side note, make sure you flushed your oil through and through, fill the engine with clean oil and then drain it out after a little while. Do this a couple times to make sure you got any contaminents out of the oil from the engine coolant

thanks for the help, ill be installing the heads this weekend after i get the ford manual for torquing the heads down. Im going to have a muffler shop bend me some new downtubes and install highflow cats, it already has a ram air intake, no resonator and a dynomax catback.
