I couldnt find any info using search about this...

Okay, a couple weeks ago, I dropped the tranny in the bird to change the clutch. The tranny was bad in the bird so I used my cougar's tranny(which Im still parting out). Anywho, I needed the crossmember from the bird cause the crossmember from the cougar was bent up(long story). Well I tried to do the impact driver to get the bolt off, but all the bolt did was just spin around, not coming out. Now that I have to drop the tranny again, burnt the clutch up(another long story), I want to try and get the crossmember off of the bad tranny.

How do I get the damn thing off?

TIA,

This happened to me the other day while doing this job. The nut was so tight for the mount that I ripped the mount in half from turning so hard. I dropped the exhaust then dropped the crossmember. It is two bolts, one into each frame rail. Then drop the member and put the ripped mount in a vise and turn the nut off the remants of the old stud.
