New Car and Driver has a big story on the new Vette and the new Mustang, ANd can i just say that Ford reallly screwed this one up big time. They should have just called it a Mustang II. The engine and tranny packages are nice but the reworked styling was horrible.

The 2005 Mustang on the stage at Carlisle last year looked great.

Yes the Prototype looked nice but the actual production version looks like crap.

Don't worry ... even if you don't like them, I'm sure that Ford will find lots of takers for them. ;)

I don't think they will, there are a lot of people on the mustang boards screaming already. They are going to need a new redesign within a year. Maybe it just doesn't photo well :)

On an up note, the new Vette is making 400hp stock with the Z06 making 500+. :) Even if they did copy some of the styling from the Viper and Ferrari 360 Modena

Well, picture it like this, 2003 was fords year, with the new Cobra taking the cake. Now, 2004 is probably gunna be GM's year, with the new vette making a mark. Ford lobvoiusly ost the coin toss. Who know's what's next.

i think Nissan might have a leg up in the truck market. Their new Titan has won the last couple comparisons I have seen it in. I think there will be a nice war going on between the Ford GT (40) and the new Vette Z06, and once again the Vette will end up being the best Performance bargain for the money. Although I would take the GT over a vette anyday. :)

I'm a bit disappointed to see they have the exhaust tips exiting UNDER the rear valence. The one at Carlisle had the tips exiting within the rear valence and it was COOL!

I knew Ford would not keep this in the production version. They dropped the ball yet again.
