roller rockers with cam?

Do I NEED to use RR with a new cam grind? Or is it just a good idea. It will take new valve springs.
TIA

I think most guys who are upgrading the cam do the rockers at the same time since its a good idea. If you have the top end apart for a cam swap including new pushrods you can save some time and money in the long run by installing RR at the same time.

I am running a Crane regrind came bought from Stan W that he ran 12.8 with using stock rockers. (Please correct me Stan if am in error). So you don't have to use RR with a higher lift cam.

Still I went with the Motorsport 1.73 rockers with my install.

No you dont have to use RR's. I used them in my engine because upon teardown the 3 highest wear items in my engine were the rod and main bearings and the rocker arms. Most everything else in the engine looked only slightly used but my rocker arms were wore so badly I was shocked.
I'm hoping the RR's will end that problem for me however RR's have there own horror stories as well so I'll see.
