a lesson in aceleration did you know that a top fuel hemi
makes more hp than the first four rows of the daytona 500?
under full throttle a top fuel hemi consumes 1.5 gallons a second
a fully loaded 747 uses the same rate but makes 25% less energy.
a stock 426 hemi does not produce enuff power to turn the top fuelers blower at full speed.
with 3000 cfm of air being rammed into the super charger and fuel compressed into a nearly solid form before ignitionon the verge of hydrolic lock up
a stoichiometric 1.7:1 air fuel mixture the flame front reaches 7050f
