hola all,

do any of you guys know where to get a resonator from, i mean a place where i can go buy one, not order one, not one online, i mean a place where i can go up to them ask them for a magnaflow resonator and they bring one out and i pay cash.

i want to make my flowmasters do something besides humm, i mean i got the 40 series and put em in, and no one can really tell i have them...BTW i got them at performance automotive at the showroom in chatsworth...and yes i went up to them they had them and i paid cash :)

also, what exhaust mods do you guys have and what shops do you go to (more for the la area people) the shop i went to doesnt use stainless steel and i want to take it somewhere where they will.

thanks for the help

ps does everyone know everyone in here yet? like does everyone know what year, and mods everyone has? maybe we should all go to the where are you from thread and edit each of our post and add what kind of sc we have...maybe even add an email so we all can keep in touch besides this board. and pix what about pix???

Hey Al...
I ordered my Magnaflow thru one of the SC parts guys a week before the other started having a sale. When you add the shipping charge and the wait it would have been better to get it locally.
I went to Magic Muffler here in Thousand Oaks and found that he knew all about putting it in my car. (The flange where the original is hooked-up makes it a weird installation and if the installer doesn't know what he is doing will give you a bad job.) I also found that he carried Magnaflow. You can access Magnaflow's website and find and muffler shop that handles their product at a location that suits you.
I installed the Magnaflow and it is sooooo nice.

so if i order a magnaflo on the scperf website, how long will it take to get here. also, wont it be a direct repalcement or wil it require some form of manipulation by the shop. they pt in my flowmaster delta 40's and did a so so job on it...anyway how do you like the sound after the resonator? does it make a real difference. or should i just install a y pipe?

i want to keep it smog legal you know, damn california regulations

It took about two weeks. You're right it is a direct replacement, however, the shop[ that sells Magnaflow will be able to get what you want, there are only so many parts that have the same "two into one" dimensions as what is being offered online.
I didn't really notice any difference in the sound...maybe only slightly, but there is a noticeable difference in the power.

oic, power is good, me like power very much. seriously tho, do youhave mufflers in your car or is it just the resonator that you changed...i am not content with the sound of my mufflers as they are, so i was thinking that the resonator would help.
is it a horsepower gain or a seat of your pants feeling gain

You can feel the pull on low end for sure. I talked to Bill Evanoff and he recommended just the resonator at this time as the stock is not that bad. I will go the hi-flow cats next. No change in the sound. When I change the mufflers I think I will go Magnaflow also.

sweet, i notice no change in power as of yet with the flowmasters and it claims that i will get more hp and increase ingas mileage...thats bull tho, this tank alone i only got 210 miles on 14 gallons thats garbage i wasnt even hot rdding it much

anyone know what cancause bad fuel consumption
